Voter's Registration
Educators play an important role, not only in the education of students but in their development as productive, active citizens. Students will take what they learn in the high school classroom onto college, the workplace, or military and into our communities. The easiest way for them to begin to become involved citizens is to register and vote.
Incorporating Voter Registration into the Curriculum
Showing students the forms and process to register is one important activity, but going beyond that to show why voting is important will help ensure students turn out to vote. Hands-on activities like mock elections, debates, and guest speakers from the local board of elections get students involved early and prepare them to participate outside the classroom.
